Looking at the numbers, YSEDC has also played a pivotal role in securing and administering crucial funding that has transformed our region. Our efforts have resulted in over $22 million in community development grants, including $12.25 million in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), strengthening infrastructure and services across Yuba and Sutter Counties.
The quantifiable impact includes:
232 business loans totaling over $16.2 million
$41.1 million in additional leveraged funding
703 new jobs created
783 existing jobs retained
83 new business startups launched
Nearly $3.8 million in COVID-19 relief grants administered to 391 businesses
Supporting Critical Infrastructure
Our commitment to regional development extends beyond direct business support. YSEDC has successfully secured federal grants totaling over $5.5 million, including:
$1.96 million for regional planning initiatives
$1.79 million supporting OPUD wastewater expansion
$1.81 million for Yuba County Airport taxiway expansion
Additionally, we've administered $1.25 million in Program Income Waivers for essential community projects, from wastewater management to public safety facilities.

Mindin Reid of Hyatt McIntire & Associates shares, "Our firm was seeking to streamline our collections process. The technical assistance provided by the Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation reviewing our billing processes and accounts receivable allowed us to focus more time on serving our clients."
Another local success story comes from Shaune Ledbetter of Ledbetter Electric: "Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation helped give us the opportunity to expand our business to the next level by providing us with funds to purchase a commercial property and complete some much-needed improvements. Without this loan we would not have been able to expand our business."
